Explore the story of renowned Harwich bird carver A. Elmer Crowell at the barn that served as Crowell's workshop. On the grounds of the Brooks Academy Museum and operated by the Harwich Historical Society, the A. Elmer Crowell Barn Museum includes an exhibit about the life and work of Crowell, including video footage of Elmer at work. The museum features carved decoys crafted by Crowell, his son Cleon Crowell, as well as other local carvers. See the actual workshop furnished as it was during Crowell's time, watch live carving demonstrations, and chat with knowledgeable decoy makers.
