Inspired and imaginative with phrasing and tempos, she serves up fresh interpretations of time-honored Standards in passionate tribute to the rich jazz tradition. Tish Adams can make old songs new again, with a style that is all her own. She has grown her 1986 Jazz debut, a stunning theatrical portrayal of song-stylist, Dakota Staton (Celebrity Club Remembered, Providence RI), into the multi-faceted artistic life she enjoys today. From tiny neighborhood pubs to black-tie galas, her compelling delivery continues to win the hearts of countless fans. Tish Adams’ performances are seasoned with long-forgotten gems, a touch of the unexpected, and a dash of the Blues.
Based in Rhode Island, this vocalist has life-long ties to Cape Cod. Her parents and much of her extended family live here. Lately, she’s brought more of her musical life across the canal. You may recognize her from recurring guest appearances with prominent drummer, bandleader, and educator Bart Weisman, or the Wayne Naus Quintet. More recently, under her own name, she has been well received at events for ArtsFalmouth, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, the Cape Cod Museum of Art, Amplify POC, Inc. of Cape Cod and the Cotuit Center for the Arts. Adams has sold out many of these events. In August of 2021, Adams joined the roster of musicians offering Sunday Jazz Brunch performances at The West End in Hyannis. Look for her outstanding trio, with Gino Rosati (guitar) and Joe Potenza (bass), in months that include a fifth Sunday.

Whether on their original instrumentals, reinterpreting classic songs, or collaborating with guest singers and instrumentalists, Evening Sky has a chameleon-like ability to adapt to whatever the situation calls for. The band can be seen performing at venues as varied as jazz and blues festivals, quiet listening rooms, and raucous rock clubs. Evening Sky’s approach in the studio is equally as eclectic.  They have experimented with old school recording techniques, as evidenced on their One Mic, Two Weekends release.  On the opposite end of the spectrum, they have used the studio as a creative, experimental tool: adding layers of sound, overdubs, effects, and five different vocalists on their version of Dylan’s Highway 61 Revisited.
