The Rolling Stones show grew out of the Peter Gammons Hot Stove Cool Music benefit concerts that would have a Rolling Stones night for the VIP party the night before the main event. Bill Janovitz of the band Buffalo Tom had been playing a solo residency at the Burren in Somerville in the fall of 2022. He figured he would do a special Stones show for the holidays in December with many of the same guys that had done the events with him at the Hot Stove Cool Music VIP parties. The December show was such a success, and the band had so much fun that they scheduled two more through the winter, all selling out in a day. Still not enough; they’re playing this one here at the Cotuit Center for the Arts. For this show, Bill will be singing and playing guitar. Phil Aiken plays keyboards and sings backups. Chris Anzalone plays drums. Matt Taheny plays bass guitar and sings backups. Brian Charles will be sitting in with the band, playing guitar and adding backing vocals as well. As the Stones sang, it should be a great “Summer Romance” and a fun dance party to kick off the Fourth of July holiday.
