Bass River Arts Campus
8 Wednesdays, Sep 18-Nov 13, 330-6pm
Come and learn how to use a potter’s wheel in this fun after-school class for teens aged 12-17! You will learn the fundamentals of using a wheel, including wedging clay, centering, forming cylinders, forming bowls, adding handles, trimming, glazing, and firing. Led by ceramic artist and former public school art teacher Mary Shea, students will get individual attention in an easygoing group class setting. All materials are included, and students will go home with several fired pieces.
Dress to get “muddy” and bring an apron and an old hand towel.
There will be no class on Oct. 2.
