Design a traditional scrimshaw pendant with monogram and imagery

Explore one of Nantucket’s most familiar and recognized folk arts.  Learn the traditional “blackwork” method used in making traditional scrimshaw made aboard whaling ships.  You will have a choice of images designed by Lee Papale.

Using authentic materials, participants will create a disc that will be a beautiful necklace for you or someone special!
