Plein Air: If It Doesn’t Suck with Mary Giammarino

Welcome to plein air basics. With minimal supplies, we will go somewhere beautiful and simple. Once there, we will squint. We will paint the spots, concentrating on value and warm and cool color. We will be methodical and deliberate. Our time on each painting will be limited. We will know when it’s done when it doesn’t suck. Then, we will keep moving. These paintings are not precious; they are studies and later you can decide to make your paintings tighter or looser, representative or abstract. The important thing is to paint!
