Morning Wheel with Mary: Learning to Throw for Beginners of All Levels (6 Mondays)

Learn to throw on the wheel in this fun 6-part morning class for beginners of all levels with artist Mary Shea. Whether you are an absolute beginner or have a little experience, Mary will meet you where you’re at as you cover the basics of wedging, centering, and forming vessels, then trimming, glazing and firing them.

Dress to get “muddy” and bring an apron and an old hand towel.

This class includes an additional 9 hours of Open Studio time to practice your skills.

Starting out as a designer in television and film, Mary Shea made the transition to the art classroom 25 years ago. It was during her graduate studies that she learned to be a student of ceramics: sculpting, building, and throwing. Mary is a member of CCftA, Cape Cod Potters, and Sandwich Arts Alliance.
