Coiled Basketry with African Art Inspired Designs, with Elizabeth Whyte Schulze

Elizabeth Whyte Schulze is a fiber artist working in coiled basketry sculpture who has recently returned from a trip to Cote d’ Ivoire, Africa. In this workshop students will learn about her travels through books, photos and her recently completed sculptures. Students will
coil a small basket using raffia and paper cording. Each basket will incorporate small designs inspired by the arts of Africa.

All materials for basket making are included in the cost of the workshop.
