Military historian Joseph Yukna will speak about Cape Cod’s amazing connection to D-Day, June 6, 1944. The Cape was the original home of the Army’s Engineer Amphibious Command and Amphibious Training Command. While Chatham Navy Radio was quietly and surreptitiously having a major impact on the naval Battle of the Atlantic, there was much more expansive activity elsewhere on Cape Cod.

Yukna is a co-Founder and the Director of the Cape Cod Military Museum in Bourne, Mass. His photo lecture describes the exploits of the units that trained on the Cape and then went on to dramatically affect the D-Day battle.

In-person at the Chatham Marconi Maritime Center, 831 Orleans Road, North Chatham and livestreamed via Zoom on Thursday, October 3 at 7:00 PM EDT. General Admission is $10; in-person seating is limited. Reservations are available at ChathamMarconi.org/speakerseries.
