Brewster in Bloom – COBB HOUSE MUSEUM OPEN HOUSE

Join us for the Brewster in Bloom OPEN HOUSE festivities at the Cobb House Museum.

See our new exhibits including the awaited return to Brewster of the White Lady and the newly completed vintage Woodworking Shop in the Cobb Annex.

When shipmaster J. Henry Sears’s ship Imperial wrecked off the New Jersey Coast in 1876, he salvaged the ship’s figurehead and brought her home to Brewster. She stands guard at the Cobb House Museum, a stone’s throw from her original perch on the Sears bluff. The society is grateful to the Ecker family, Sears’s descendants for their trust in BHS as caretakers of their family treasure.

The Woodshop display created with major support from the Jennison Charitable Foundation and from Members like you, will offer demonstrations of old time wood working.
