Artist Julie Child has spent a lifetime looking closely at nature and for the last 50 years has taught hundreds of children and adults the art of biological illustration.  Join Julie in the gallery for a casual talk about her teaching philosophy and methods. She will explain how artists develop the skills needed to make detailed and precise drawings of the natural world. She will share the joy, pleasure – and fun – this process has brought to her life and why she recommends that her students learn to “let your hand follow your eye.”
